Do you think you have what it takes to be seen as a male model?
How to get discovered as a male model in 2012, there are four industry standard requirements to be seen:
-
You will need to be in shape, doesn’t matter if your lean or big, but you must be muscular and strong. If you’re not in the best shape, you can always be a hair, eye-wear, or hand model.
-
Possess a great smile, a nice set of teeth, and an acne free face.
-
Weight between ranges of 140- 175, and average height of 5’11 and 6’2
-
A great attitude, charismatic, and confident.
If you have these requirements, then you are ready to get discovered!! Personally, I always wondered how to get discovered as a male model. I had a dream of becoming a male model when I was about 16 years old. I would of described myself as tall, dark, and handsome. I was built like a 21 year old, had long flowing hair, and a energetic personality, with an amazing attitude. One thing I noticed about this business, It’s vicious. They will point out every flaw you have, and wont have any problem telling you about them. If you don’t like criticism, then male modeling will not work for you. I recommend you to learn about the business before you decide that’s what you want to do! I gave up on my goal, because I didn’t truly love the business. You must love what you do, to be truly happy!
